Camden's Nursery

We were so excited after finding out we were having a boy that we started painting the nursery the day after we found out the news. It was our anniversary night. Nothing good was on TV since the Packers had already played and the Redskins didn't play until Monday night. We only got one section done that night and plan to go back and do the rest tomorrow. We're aiming for this theme for his nursery...or something similar.

Here we are some of my favorite things that we're hoping to incorporate into his nursery:

We both agreed that we loved the wall in this photo. The main/accent wall of Camden's nursery is going to be striped with the gray and white just like this. We're still debating on the color of the crib and furniture.
I love the whole "DREAM BIG" theme, it goes well with the elephants. And the gray/white/blue stripes and chevron print is so cute. As long as we are consistent with the shade of blue it'll look awesome once it's all put together!

I really like the cribs with the built in changing tables like this one:

Because they can be converted into toddler beds with nightstands like this:

So even though it's $399 for that set, at least we know we can get many years outta it since it turns into a big bed. All we would need besides those two pieces is a dresser and glider and then his nursery is all set!

We can't wait to finish painting his nursery and start setting up the furniture and decorations. After we're done painting we need to steam clean the carpets. We already have some things from friends and family so we need to go through it all and of course - you know me - I'll start making lists of things we already have and then things we still need.

It's sad because we've been at this house for over 2 years and our bedroom still has no decor on our non-painted walls. We don't even care about our bedroom or bathroom but painting and fixing up Camden's room is top priority of course! Maybe one day we'll get around to painting our room and making it look homey in there. What am I talking about, once he's here we won't have time for anything like that! Oh well!

Can't believe we get to meet our son in just over 5 months, it's so surreal now that we know it's a sweet little boy! I just can't wait to see what/who he looks like!

Stay tuned for more photos of the nursery...
