Baby Basics

At my last doctor's appointment he recommended we contact the hospital and take advantage of the free classes they offer.

With Mark getting off work at 4:30 this month, I figured we should take advantage of that too since the classes are only offered at 6:30 in the evening during the week.

I signed us up for Baby Basics on 12/5 and Breastfeeding Basics on 12/16.

Mark was not so thrilled at first but he actually enjoyed the class and said he learned a lot. I have to say he was a really good sport, especially because he has bronchitis and had a fever that night. Not to mention he had to hold his cough so that he didn't disrupt the class. Good daddy.

I knew most of the things they covered (thanks to recent practice with my niece and nephew) but I did actually learn some things too.

I could never swaddle good/tight enough but learned how to do it the right way and swaddled that baby doll pretty snug.

He changed the doll's diaper but of course it's nothing like changing a squirming newborn...so the first real diaper change will be interesting to watch.
