Camden's 1st Nats Game [8.16.14]

We got a sitter for the Nats game back in April because we felt like Camden was too small to go with us. He wasn't even 2 months old yet; it was our first time apart from him for a long period of time on a weekend. The whole game we were wondering what he was doing and saying we wanted to leave early to go get him.

We took this picture before we left for the game. I just can't get over his little face here, it cracks me up every time I look at it! Notice the cute little slugger outfit, love it!

Here we are with our friends Val & Andre (it was one of their first official dates, and the first time I met Andre).

Nats lost to the Braves this night, boo. And we will NEVER take metro again, what a pain in the ass that was! I was even more frustrated on the way home because I just wanted to get back to my baby and there were so many people on the trains it was insane.

Fast forward 4 months...we figured since Camden is 6 months old now it would be fun to take him with us to the game. We parked right across from the stadium so that was super convenient. We narrowed it down to only bringing in two bags total, and who woulda thought bringing a baby to a baseball game required that much strategic thinking of what to bring along?! We needed his bottles, extra milk just in case, my pump, his blanket, binky, extra outfit, diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, teethers/toys, the carrier so I could wear him, and the list goes on!

Here is Cam my man at home before we left. Daddy put his big ol' hat on Camden's head.
Momma didn't want him to get dressed in his Nats gear until we were leaving for the game
so that he didn't spit up (or poop) on it. How cute is he?!

Nana took this picture in front of her house before we left for the game.

Eila was not getting anywhere near President Taft but he didn't faze Camden!

Why did I even pack teethers when he has those yummy fingers?!

Pitch in action! 90+mph!

Slobbery but oh so cute!

Camden was too busy flirting with the ladies in the seats near us.
At least mom & dad were looking at the camera.

I just love this sweet moment that I captured of my favorite boys!

The game hadn't even started yet and he was passed out. 7:15 p.m.

Selfie with Avery!
Camden woke up after the home run to see what all the commotion was about!
He kept trying to watch Mickey Mouse on Eila's TV.
I don't think Eila liked it too much.
This was also Camden's first concert. We stayed for a few Martina McBride songs.

I am so proud of my baby for only fussing ONE time, that was right before he fell asleep around 7:00. That's what time he's used to getting his baby food but we only had a bottle for him. That fat boy doesn't like to miss a meal. He was so well behaved and we were so lucky he didn't act up or give us a hard time. He enjoyed his first game and we actually got to enjoy it too since he was so well behaved. I bet if we take him next year it won't be this easy since he'll be mobile and hard to keep up with and impossible to keep occupied.

The game was tied (3-3) in the bottom of the 9th. Wilson Ramos hit a ground rule double to right field nad brought Bryce Harper home to score the game winning point! It was a great game, perfect weather, and awesome family outing. Can't wait for many more weekends like this with my guys.

Introducing the sand [8.3.14]

Camden meets the sand for the first time. We were trying to prepare him for our upcoming beach trip. He actually loved it. He did try to eat it once (as you can see from the photos) but that smart boy didn't try again after that, yuck! These photos are precious, I just love seeing him so happy and being introduced to new things that he likes. Can't wait to go to the beach next week!
